NJ ACADEMY OF SCIENCE

The New Jersey Academy of Science is proud to be working on seven decades of active work in NJ.  In 1954, academicians and corporate professionals saw the need to encourage the furthering of scientific research and education in NJ.  They founded the NJAS with the vision that the Academy of Science would play a dynamic role in the state’s scientific community.  Several years later, the Academy became an affiliate of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and a member of the National Association of Academies of Science (NAAS).  Since that time, the Academy has grown to become a vital nexus between corporations, academia, and state government in NJ.

Over the years, NJAS has contributed to the success of many current scientists, innovators and CEO's. It is through our various events hosted each year that students from HS to postgraduate can take advantage to network and showcased their scientific breakthroughs.

Our academy is divided into two sub-academies, the Junior Academy fosters the middle school to HS level, whereas the Senior  academy fosters the undergraduate to professional level.

NJAS members reside in various parts of New Jersey.  NJAS Executive board's long term goal is to  reach and connect with NJAS members from all NJ counties.

The NJAS accomplishments and recognition awards are a symbol of the collaborative effort of the NJAS executive board. NJAS requires the assistance of our scientific community to lead and mentor the new scientific leaders of tomorrow.  Please if you have some spare time or need some community service hours, make a difference and join the executive board. If you will like to help our programs or assist  NJAS members attend scientific conferences or assist with college scholarships, don't hesitate to contact us, we accept  donations,  we can grant a scholarship on your behalf or family name.
