Virtual Competition to celebrate the NJ Academy of Science
65th Anniversary
The health, safety and well-being of our attendees, faculty, speakers, exhibitors and staff is of paramount importance. After careful consideration of the ongoing spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in New Jersey, the executive members of the Academy of Science of NJ have decided not to conduct the 65th Annual meeting this year.
The NJ academy of Science has determined to host a virtual video scientific competition for both the Junior (High School students) and Senior Academy (undergraduate and graduate students) as the alternative solution. The New Jersey Academy of Science is holding its annual research competition online this year. This virtual competition will give students the opportunity to have their research abstract published; to compete at the 2021 nationals "American Junior Academy of Science" (junior academy level) or served as NJ Academy of Science delegate at the 2021 "American Association for the Advancement of Science" at the senior academy level; and allow participants to add this experience into their resumes. Usually, projects are presented at our Annual Conference; however, given the pandemic COVID-19, we did not want to deprive students of the option of competing and showcasing their scientific contribution.
Presently, the deadline for abstract submission, scientific video and participants picture was extended to May 9, 2020.
We ask for your patience as we work diligently to address questions and provide additional information to our planned participants and guests. Please email any questions to njacademyofscience@gmail.com
Presentations will be showcase during the Month of May. Winners will be notified by the first week of June 2020.
