2021 BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH EVENTS

Despite COVID-19, we’re staying optimistic! We’re developing fun, educational and meaningful events for Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), please join our mission. 

Goal:  To encourage early detection and  disseminate information about the cancer awareness, careers in oncology,  treatment information  and allocate funding for the american cancer society

Objectives: 

  • To create awareness about breast cancer 
  • To showcase the importance of cancer screening and careers in oncology
  • To demonstrate the diverse clinical outcomes in oncology
Participants: Mainly high school students  and anyone interested in this topic

Speaker Dr. Deborah Toppmeyer - Chief Medical Officer, Director, Stacy Goldstein Breast Cancer Center, Director, LIFE Center and Chief, Medical Oncology

“When a patient hears the words, “You have breast cancer,” they need to know that all breast cancer is not alike.  We will, therefore, recommend a "personalized treatment plan" tailored to their particular disease to maximize the benefit.”
